Celebrating Mary Our Good Mother
Our Lady Of Guadalupe is a Catholic title of the Blessed Virgin Mary associated with a series of five Marian apparitions in December 1531 and a venerated image on a cloak enshrined within the Basilica of Our Lady in Mexico City.
The origin of la Virgen de Guadalupe dates back to December 12, 1531. On this date, in Tepeyac, which is located on the outskirts of Mexico City, an indigenous shepherd named Juan Diego saw a vision of the Virgin Mary in Aztec garb. Mary asked him in his indigenous language to build a "temple" in her honor. He did, and many natives converted. (Google)
Mary wants the same of us. We have to be a "temple" of the Holy Spirit.
Let work with our habits, attitudes, and mindsets. Let us make them more Mariam.
Our Lady of Guadalupe, pray for our families and us.
