Marcellin Champagnat was born on 05 20 1789
He was baptized the next day with the name of Joseph Benedict Marcellin Champagnat.
In 1817 he founded the Marist Brothers, a group of men dedicated to the education of the youth.
Today there are Marist Schools all around the world.Christopher Columbus High School is a Marist School.
Champagnat called Mary Our Good Mother.
For him, Mary was his Ordinary Resource.
